Elizabeth Ward, Executive Director, Wood Products International, AF&PA, Washington, D.C.

Elizabeth C. Ward is Executive Director of the Wood Products International Group of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), where she manages the wood products industry’s overseas marketing programs, global forestry activities, and trade policy agenda. She has been with AF&PA since 1986 and was Executive Director of the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) prior to her current position. AF&PA is the national trade association of the forest products industry.

Ms. Ward currently serves on the Industry Sector Advisory Committee for Lumber and Wood Products, a private sector advisory committee to the U.S. government appointed by the Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative. She was also recently appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture to the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee. She serves on the Executive Committee of the US Agricultural Export Development Council, an association of agricultural groups involved in overseas market access work.

Ms. Ward graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in History/Political Science. She received her Masters Degree in International Security Affairs from Columbia University's Graduate School of International Affairs.
