Matt Bumgardner, US Forest Service, Princeton, WV

 

Matt Bumgardner has worked in the Economics of Eastern Forest Use unit at the USDA Forest Service lab in Princeton, WV since 1999.  Prior to joining the Forest Service, Matt spent a year with Champion International Corporation in eastern Texas as a systems analyst at the Camden plywood facility.  He holds a Ph.D. in forest products marketing from Virginia Tech and B.S./M.S. degrees in forest resource management from Ohio State.  Matt has taught and lectured in dendrology and forest products classes and has published several research articles dealing with primary and secondary industries and markets.  He is a member of the Forest Products Society, the Society of Wood Science and Technology, and the Southern Forest Economics Workers.
