Program Manager, US-China Build

 

Rose has over a decade of experience working on projects related to natural resources and international trade.  She has managed projects to identify niche markets for primary and secondary processed US wood products in several foreign markets, which has included assessing competitive strengths and weaknesses relative to competing suppliers, evaluating market potential, and developing strategies to improve access to these markets.  She has also researched competitive advantages and strategies of Finnish and Swedish suppliers in the international wod products market, and the impact of the US forest situation and policies on competitiveness.  Ongoing work at CINTRAFOR involves tracking economic trends, trade flows, and factors affecting supply and demand. 

 

Rose has completed multiple projects in South Korea, and projects in Taiwan, Mainland China, and Scandinavia.  In addition to her ongoing research work at CINTRAFOR, Rose is the Program Manager for the

 

US-China Build Program, a US Department of Commerce program to increase exports of US wood-based building materials to China.  Rose holds an MA degree in Environmental Policy from Western Washington University.
