The Center
for International Trade in Forest Products, CINTRAFOR, is one of
three applied research centers within University of Washington's
College of Forest Resources.
CINTRAFOR helps
forest products exports by:
1. Collecting
and distributing information on rapidly changing foreign markets,
including consumption trends, distribution channels, trading systems,
codes/standards and the regulatory environment.
2. Applying
research findings to technical, environmental, economic, social
and resource management problems that impede exports of specific
products.
3. Training
forest product professionals by providing funding for graduate level
research on the international trade in forest products.
